The Seville Port Authority continues to work to improve navigation to the Port of Seville. On this occasion, he has worked with the Almarin company on the section of Puntalete Norte to modernize the beaconing in the area. This section already had a beacon formed by starboard side buoy nº 13 "North Green Point", and now it has a new port side buoy # 12 "North Red Point". Both form a pair of synchronized buoys that result in improving the security of maritime access to the Port.
This new buoy, model B1600S from the Balizamar range, with 1.6 meters in diameter, has a 2.5m high headframe equipped with daytime markings, top mark and radar reflector made of 316 stainless steel. Almarin has supplied a red LED projector, synchronized with GPS with the lantern of buoy nº13. The Port of Seville is the only inland seaport in Spain. Next to the Chipiona lighthouse, a total of 90 buoys, 31 beacons and 7 leading lines help the navigator on his way to Seville. All of these maritime signals are operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
