ALMARIN is a leading manufacturer of marine aids to navigation (AtoN). Its specialty within this niche market is the development and manufacture of navigation buoys and marine beacons, which stand out for their innovation and quality. Almarin's technical staff is in constant search of optimal solutions to solve the challenges of its customers, with countless innovations in the most extreme conditions around the world. In its beacons and buoys, Almarin incorporates maritime lanterns and other electronic equipment from the world's first manufacturer, SPX, which includes the Sabik, Carmanah and Vega brands. Almarin is part of Lindley Group, which is formed by four companies established since 1930, with 90 years of experience in the supply and manufacture of harbour and industrial equipment and infrastructure.

Lindley and Almarin share their specialty in floating equipment for the marine environment and Almovi's activity is focused on lifting equipment. The quality control of manufactured products is an unconditional priority at Almarin. The company strictly monitors the quality of its workmanship and raw materials used. Traceability is of critical importance so as to assess performance throughout the life span of the product.

Due to its commitment with quality and the environment, Almarin is certified with ISO 9001:20015 and ISO 14001:2015. These quality systems promote a constant improvement of the company’s products by planing design review procedures and periods.

Since 2008, Almarin is a member of the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA). This entity provides guidelines and recomendations for the design of aids to navigation; Almarin incorporates the majority of the association’s recommendations into the design of its products.

Almarin adheres to the IALA Code of Conduct for industrial members, approved at the General Assembly in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on June 1, 2023. The objective of this document is to define the actions that members commit to undertake as associates. You can download the IALA Code of Conduct here.

ENERGY CERTIFICATE

In 2024, the Lindley Group obtained the A+ energy certificate for its Mical building, located in Cascais. This energy rating was achieved thanks to the implementation of best practices, including the installation of 58 solar panels on the roof for energy generation and the use of low-consumption LED lighting. Obtaining this certification not only reflects the Group's commitment to improving the energy performance of its facilities but also its dedication to employee well-being and reducing environmental impact.
