Marking of submarine outfalls and aquaculture facilities
19-06-2020
The underwater outfall of the Gavà-Viladecans treatment plant, near Barcelona, is already being marked with a Balizamar C1250T buoy. Almarin has been the company selected by Aigües de Barcelona, the entity in charge of water management in the Llobregat, Ter and Besòs river basins. This buoy is equipped with a Lightguard monitoring system that allows knowing the position of the buoy through a web, SMS or mobile platform, including alarms in case of deviation of the navigation aid.
Previously, Almarin has supplied this type of rotomolded polyethylene buoys to delimit, for example, a water desalination plant in Algeria and also an outlet in Beirut (Lebanon). In addition, the C1250 buoys are the most common in Spanish aquaculture facilities to mark their concessions and protect their infrastructures. Almarin designs and manufactures its own range of navigation buoys, maritime beacons and structures, in accordance with the recommendations of the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA), as well as being a distributor of the leading manufacturers of marine lanterns, lighthouses, AIS, racons and monitoring systems.
