This product, consisting of a hexagonal structure of LED spotlights that replaces the previous system of PAR36 sealed beam lamps, stands out for its 24MN light range with 0.74T atmospheric visibility.
The Punta Cumplida LED lighting equipment, located in La Palma (Canary Islands), has just celebrated its first anniversary. It was installed in August 2011 by the technicians of the Tenerife Port Authority, together with the help of Almarin staff, and it has been running for one year at full capacity. This product, composed of a hexagonal structure of LED spotlights that replaces the previous system of PAR36 sealed beam lamps, stands out for its 24 NM light range with 0.74T atmospheric visibility.
This facility is probably one of the longest range headlamps built with LED technology today. Those responsible for Maritime Signals of the Port Authority of Tenerife were very satisfied with its lighting performance; specifically, Baudilio Brito told the media that he had never seen a similar product during his thirty-nine years in the world of lighthouses. "The duration, the savings and the easy-to-maintain technology are impressive. It is a very important advance in the field of maritime signals in the Canary Islands," said Brito.
