New buoy supplied to Port Authority of Tenerife (Spain)
17-05-2017
Almarin provided an articulated buoy to the Port Authority of Tenerife to mark the entrance of Los Llanos. The buoy is designed according to the requirements of the area, which is characterized by a depth between nine and twelve meters, depending on the level of the tide. The company decided to replace the previous navigational aid after the collision of a boat.
It has about 17 meters and it's manufactured of S275JR steel segmented, sealed and painted according to IALA recommendations. The hull is made of expanded polyethylene filled of expanded polystyrene. The buoy is connected to the sinker through an articulation that prevents azimuthal rotation. The marine lantern installed was owned by the entity - acquired in the past to Almarin - and it has a range of four to seven nautical miles.
