Helical Anchors
Helical anchors are used in sandy soil to create an anchor point. In their use as part of a marine anchor, they are used to replace concrete spurs and provide an attachment point for the lower end of the mooring equipment.
These anchors provide a number of benefits:
-They have a minimal impact on the seabed (only the anchor shackle remains on the surface, rather than a concrete block which usually has considerable dimensions)
- Avoid the use of dead bodies that are an obstacle to navigation, especially in shallow draft areas
-They avoid the need for boats with heavy lifting equipment (the dead ones usually weigh between 1 and 3 tons) There are several models of anchors depending on the load project they must support. Its installation requires a team of divers with experience in hydraulic equipment.
