Renovation of maritime marking in ports of Vilanova, Arenys de Mar and Mataró

The new marking increases maritime safety

The ports of Vilanova i la Geltrú, Arenys de Mar and Mataró, in Catalonia (Spain), have renewed part of their markings thanks to Almarin, with the aim of adapting to the new State Port regulations and providing safer navigation. The public company Ports de la Generalitat and Consorci Port de Mataró have been the entities that have opted for this improvement in their ports.

The new markings increases maritime safety, as the new onshore beacons provide greater daytime visibility compared to the previous beacons. Among the most relevant actions, stands out the onshore beacon of the new breakwater in Vilanova y la Geltrú, as well as an entire beacon and another modular one in the Port of Mataró. The latter has been manufactured with this system to facilitate the transfer by hand to its location. On the other hand, in Arenys de Mar, one marine lantern has been replaced by another one more powerful. Almarin has carried out the inspection and adaptation to the current AtoN regulations, as well as the manufacture of the beacons and the supervision of the installation.
