New dock in Vila de Rei (Portugal)
10-06-2020
The Portuguese Municipality of Vila de Rei has inaugurated a new pier at the Fernandaires River Beach. Lindley was the company responsible for the manufacturing and installation of this dock, aimed at promoting and enhancing conditions for maritime-tourism activities, such as water sports, canoeing, fishing, and recreational boat rides on the Albufeira de Castelo de Bode.
The Sagres model infrastructure, measuring 18 meters in length, allows for the mooring of jet skis as well as 8 boats up to 6 meters in length and a boat of up to 12 meters at the end of the installation. The company also carried out the associated work on the fixed access walkway to the articulated bridge. The installation is anchored with mooring buoys and chains to allow for movement along the shore subject to the different water levels. The Vice President of the Vila de Rei Municipality and Tourism Manager, Paulo César Luís, stated that the project was carried out "to attract a greater and more diverse number of visitors to this river beach and the municipality."
