Nautical activities land in the swamp of Alarcón (Spain)

New 14-meter wooden dock

The Olmedilla de Alarcón City Council has decided to promote the practice of nautical and fishing activities in the Alarcón reservoir, in Cuenca. Almarin has won the competition for the installation of a floating jetty, specifically a Nordic pine wooden dock, from the Dock-it range, 14 meters long and 2.2 meters wide. This simple model is designed for protected areas. In addition, its installation is quick and easy: Almarin technicians managed to install it on an assembly day with a reduced number of means and personnel.

However, the team faced several challenges in this project, such as the difficult access to the area and the state of the swamp, with a low water level, which exposed muddy terrain, making it difficult for machinery to reach the shore. Almarin has also supplied signaling beacons for night use, a safety ladder and eight spherical buoys to delimit the area.
