Almarin supplies the most powerful LED lighthouse in Europe in Punta Cumplida (Tenerife)

With this new LED system, energy savings of about 3 kilowatts per hour will be achieved compared to the previous system

VRL91 equipment, supplied by Almarin, has been installed by the Port Authority of Tenerife technicians with the support of Almarin staff. This product stands out for its powerful light range from 24MN to 0.74T and for its operation with LED technology.

Due to the good atmospheric transmissivity in the area, a local ferry claims to have seen its white light from 40NM. With this new LED system, energy savings of about 3 kilowatts per hour will be achieved compared to the previous system. The headlamp is made up of a hexagonal array each with four vertically spaced LED light sources and respective optics. This solution, with 505,000 effective candles at 360º, is probably the longest-range headlamp built with LED technology today.
